Zoar Valley

I had a nice day yesterday exploring Zoar Valley.  I had been there before with my cousin, but we stayed along the rim.  Yesterday my sister and I did a lot of exploring in the gorge itself and it was a lot of fun.  We got to do a little Geocaching, but my sister doesn’t enjoy it as much as I do, so we only found one cache…  Next time I go, I want to find more – a lot more  laughing

The place is really magnificent.

Very high walls!

There's a fun guy (fungi) in there somewhere!

Blah.

I should be feeling happy.

My truck finally passed inspection.

My lawnmower is fixed.

My tractor is fixed.

My trailer is fixed.

I’ve been accomplishing projects around the house.

I met up with a friend I haven’t seen in forever and had a great time.

My travel bug going out to Nic finally got picked up and is on it’s way.

I actually have a watermelon in my garden ready to be picked.

You’d think I’d be in seven heaven….  but I’m not.

I don’t know why, but I’ve been feeling very ‘blah’ lately.

I hate this feeling of just going through the motions.

I hope I get out of this funk soon.

And F-you to the old people in the beige Silverado who threw their garbage out the window driving down Salt Road this morning .

Who does that anymore????

Idiots.

Bent

To put it mildly, my property has quite a few obstacles on it (read: rocks, stumps, etc.).  Every year since I’ve lived here, I’ve gone through at least two or three sets of lawn mower blades each season (read: bent the @#$! out of them).

I swore that this year was going to be different.  With the gorgeous spring we had, I took advantage and cleaned up as much as I could, making every effort to remove any and all obstacles I could find.

I did great!  Mowing season started in April this year and I didn’t have to replace a mower blade at all this year!

Until today.

Yeah.  I wrecked a blade on a stump that must have grown when I wasn’t looking.

I almost made it the whole season.  Almost.  sigh3
