Frozen Falls
On this day in history in 1848, Niagara Falls stopped flowing for the first time in recorded history. An ice jam in the Niagara River stopped the water. I wish I could see something like that! I know that the Falls were turned off in 1969 for research, but I was only 4 years old at the time, so I don't remember that at all - but I was there when my parents went to see the event :)
My real-maple-syrup-covered pancakes were absolutely yummy this morning!
Yesterday, on my way to visit my Mom, I saw a lady walking down the street with curlers in her hair. People still wear curlers? They still make curlers? The first thing that popped into my mind was the old commercial for Dippity Do - "Curlers in your hair? Shame on you!". I couldn't find a link to that commercial anywhere on the internet :(

Thanks for the link celdu, but that's not the commercial I was thinking of... yours advertises curlers - Dippity Do made fun of curlers and said you didn't have to wear them if you used their product :)
I will be amazed if the commercial I remember ever shows up!
